At Strange Nature, we believe sustainability should be practical, not performative.
We’re not perfect but we’re committed to making better choices at every stage of how our gin is grown, made, and shared.
OUR PLACE
Strange Nature begins where most spirits don't — in a vineyard.
From a small pocket of land in a faraway corner of the world comes an exquisite wine - New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are grown on an ancient river bed nestled between mountain ranges, in soils carved by high country glaciers. Bordered by the coast, cool sea breezes help create a wine full of contrast - both delicate and intense, herbaceous yet fruity.
Our home is a Sustainable Winegrowing NZ™ accredited winery, one of the world's longest-running sustainability programmes, independently audited annually across soil, water, plant protection, waste, people and climate.

OUR PRODUCT
Our base spirit is distilled from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine — a by-product that would otherwise go to waste.
No new agricultural footprint and a bottle designed to last long after the gin is gone. Our stunning bottle is beautiful enough that nobody wants to throw it away.

We designed Strange Nature to last long after the gin is gone. Our bottle is made to be refilled, reused or turned into something beautiful at home. That's not marketing. That's just good design.
OUR PEOPLE
We believe we should contribute positively beyond the bottle and how we treat our team matters as much as how we make our gin.
We've committed to Employee Assistance Programme support for all staff, annual fitness contributions, and bi-annual development plans for every full-time team member.
In 2023 we participated in the Business for Good programme with NZTE and B Lab — the organisation behind the global B Corp movement to formally measure our social and environmental impact and set a clear path forward.
