The Gin Of The Year, According To The International Wine & Spirit Competition

The IWSC has unveiled its 2024 Gins of the Year, a collection of 10 top-ranked gins. Below are tasting notes on these gins and commentary from Olivier, Ward Chair of the IWSC’s Gin Panel.

Strange Nature Distilling, Gin
The IWSC Judging Panel described this New Zealand gin as exhibiting “a wonderfully vibrant aromatic profile, bursting with gooseberries and zesty citrus, leading to a resinous, juniper forefront. It is pristine and bold on the palate, with a juicy grape base shining through and finishing with an expressive blend of bright Riesling grapes and freshly ground coffee. Marvellous!”
