Competition Terms & Conditions
General
1. By entering any competition, giveaway, or promotional activity (collectively, "Competition") conducted by Strange Nature Gin Distilling ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. These Terms and Conditions apply to all Competitions run by Strange Nature Gin Distilling across all platforms, including but not limited to our website, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media channels.
3. Strange Nature Gin Distilling reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel any Competition at any time, and to modify these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
4. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
Eligibility
5. Competitions are open to residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older at the time of entry, unless otherwise stated in specific competition details.
6. By entering, you confirm that you are of legal drinking age in your jurisdiction.
7. Employees of Strange Nature Gin Distilling, their immediate family members, agents, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or administration of a Competition are not eligible to enter.
8. Strange Nature Gin Distilling reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility criteria or who provides false or misleading information.
How to Enter
9. Entry instructions will be specified for each individual Competition. These may include, but are not limited to, following our social media accounts, liking or sharing a post, submitting a photo or video, or completing an online form.
10. Only one entry per person is permitted unless otherwise stated.
11. Entries must be received by the closing date specified for each Competition. Late entries will not be accepted.
12. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or do not comply with the entry requirements will be deemed invalid.
13. Strange Nature Gin Distilling accepts no responsibility for entries lost, delayed, or corrupted due to technical issues.
Prizes
14. The prize(s) for each Competition will be as described in the specific competition details. All prizes are subject to availability.
15. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other alternative unless otherwise specified.
16. Strange Nature Gin Distilling reserves the right to substitute any prize with an alternative of equal or greater value if circumstances make it necessary to do so.
17. Any costs associated with accepting or using a prize that are not expressly included as part of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
18. Prizes involving alcohol will only be awarded to winners who confirm they are of legal drinking age in New Zealand (18 years or over). Proof of age may be required.
19. Winners are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from receipt of a prize.
Winner Selection & Notification
20. Winners will be selected as described in the individual Competition details (e.g., random draw, judging panel, or other method).
21. The decision of Strange Nature Gin Distilling (or appointed judges) is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
22. Winners will be notified via the contact method provided at the time of entry (e.g., direct message, email, or comment) within the timeframe specified in the individual Competition.
23. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days of being notified, Strange Nature Gin Distilling reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
24. Strange Nature Gin Distilling's announcement of a winner (e.g., on social media) is conditional on verification of eligibility. If a winner is found to be ineligible, an alternative winner will be selected.
Responsible Consumption
25. Strange Nature Gin Distilling promotes the responsible enjoyment of alcohol. We encourage all entrants and winners to enjoy our products responsibly.
26. Competitions will not be promoted to individuals who are under the legal drinking age, and entry by minors is strictly prohibited.
27. Do not drink and drive. Please be aware of the health risks associated with alcohol consumption.
Privacy & Personal Information
28. By entering a Competition, you consent to Strange Nature Gin Distilling collecting, storing, and using your personal information for the purposes of administering the Competition and, where applicable, delivering prizes.
29. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
30. By entering, you also consent to Strange Nature Gin Distilling using your name and/or social media handle for promotional purposes in connection with announcing Competition winners, unless prohibited by law.
31. We will not share your personal information with third parties except where necessary for the administration of the Competition (e.g., prize delivery).
32. You may request access to, or correction of, personal information held about you by contacting us via our contact form.
User-Generated Content
33. Where a Competition requires you to submit content (e.g., photos, videos, text), you grant Strange Nature Gin Distilling a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, publish, and reproduce that content for promotional and marketing purposes.
34. You confirm that any content submitted is your own original work, does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, and does not contain anything that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise unlawful.
35. Strange Nature Gin Distilling reserves the right to disqualify entries containing inappropriate, offensive, or irrelevant content.
Social Media & Third Party Platforms
36. Competitions hosted on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook) are in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, those platforms.
37. Any information provided by entrants is provided to Strange Nature Gin Distilling and not to the social media platform.
38. Entrants release the relevant platform from any liability arising in connection with the Competition.
39. Competitions must comply with the applicable platform's terms of service.
Limitation of Liability
40. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strange Nature Gin Distilling excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost, or expense (whether direct, indirect, or consequential) arising from participation in a Competition or acceptance and use of a prize.
41. Strange Nature Gin Distilling is not responsible for any technical failures, errors, or interruptions that affect a Competition or entry process.
