A lifetime’s exploration of the art of winemaking ventured down paths unknown to discover exotic new possibilities; and in pursuit of one thing, something else altogether was found.

Going against the grain, this is a true grape-based gin made from the spirit of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

Strange Nature is naturally flavoured and distilled with a single botanical, the one that defines gin – juniper. Less is more, and you can really taste it.

WASTE NOT, WANT NOT

Strange Nature was salvaged from a rather delectable by-product - a pure spirit alcohol distilled from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine.

We bottled our concoction in a vessel so stunning that nobody wants to throw it away. Then we introduced a hospitality recycling programme so they don’t have to. We collect, wash and refill empty Strange Nature bottles for bars around New Zealand.
